Beautiful skin requires commitment, not a miracle-Erno Laszlo
I adore Japanese women and feel overwhelmed with their commitment towards their beauty regime. They have this spotless glass skin to die for. In recent times I was quite obsessed with Japanese skincare regime and did quite a lot of research on the same.
I realized I cannot spare the amount of time and was on the hunt for something which can be easily done & adapted in my routine. So here is my easy to adapt skincare rituals which helped me a great deal.
Know Your Skin Type
For the Longest time in my life, I thought I had a dry skin type and all my skin care routine included products for dry skin type, but I always ended up with acne, red skin & similar skin problems. During my quest to know my skin type, I came across one article which introduced me to dehydrated acne prone skin type which completely changed the skincare game for me.
Now I don’t feel need to cover up my skin with heavy moisturizers rather I look for a product which helps me keep my skin hydrate. So the first step to start a skin care regime is to know what exactly your skin type is.
It is very important to buy all skincare products according to your skin type, as a wrong product could really do more damage than good. Right from your facewash, toner, moisturizer to face masks everything should be purchased after carefully verifying details like expiry date, ingredients & Skin type for which that product is made. Go for products which are natural and paraben free.
Keep a separate face towel
Our facial skin is very sensitive than the rest of our body, so we must maintain a separate facial towel for the same. Using each other’s towels or same towel for your body & face is going to show a negative impact on your skin sooner or later. Always pat dry your skin instead of rubbing the towel over your face
No skin care routine can be completed without exfoliation. Exfoliating is the process of removing dead skin cells from the surface of your skin using a Scrub, silicon brush & other tools. Gentle exfoliation twice a week can work wonders for your skin.
I never took toning seriously until I started researching about Japanese skin care routines. Nowadays toner comes with so much of hydrating goodness that it would be a crime to skip this step. Always look for toners with hydrating properties and you will start noticing the difference in your skin right from the first use.
A good moisturizer is the best investment you can make for your skin. Always look out for hydrating moisturizer which is suitable for your skin type and you will end up with this gorgeous-looking supple skin.
D.I.Y & Facemasks
You don’t need to buy anything for your face masks if you don’t want to, but once a week, do a D.I.Y mask or sheet mask with ingredients easily available in your kitchen like rice water, honey, turmeric, and milk etc.It is like a spa therapy for your face.
Apart from all these you really need to watch your water and food consumption. What you eat in private, you show in public. It is really ok to indulge in junk once in a while, but if it becomes a part of your lifestyle, it is going to give you a negative impact in future.
Wishing you all a happy & problem free skin.
